Our Locals Guide to Bondi Cafes
We love Bondi. We love living near the ocean and the focus on nature and on the outdoors that come with it. We love that people work as hard as they play around here. We love Bondi's roots in a slow paced beachy town that was full of surfers and artists. We love that it's become a multicultural hub, full of travellers from all over the world that have decided to spend the summer by the beach, with many staying for plenty more. And we love the community that has come together around this place, to help it keep its hippie roots and progress into its luxe future. Needless to say, we love our neighbourhood and we want to share it with you! Cafe culture in Bondi is thriving with one, it feels like, on every corner. With so many, it can be hard to find those trusted local gems so here are a few of our favourites, from the back streets of Bondi.

COFFEE BONDI BEACH - Curlewis St

These guys roast their own beans here so if you're a caffein head, this is your spot for some fresh coffee goodness.

The Shop & Wine Bar - Curlewis St

Talk about an institution, this pocket sized cafe has been serving locals and influencers for the past 15 years.

Alice & Gertrude - Hall St

Another long time Bondi resident. This cafe comes with a side of serious literature doubling as a used book store.

Organic Republic Bakery - Glenayre Ave

A bakery with a manifesto, can't get much more Bondi than that! Perch on one of their outdoor tables and enjoy your morning coffee with a croissant and sunshine.

Blair Street Dairy - Blair St

A newcomer and quickly becoming a local favourite, especially by yours truly.

Porch & Parlour - Ramsgate Ave

With a perfect view of the beach and a serious healthy menu this cafe is quintessential Bondi.

The Depot - Campbell Pde

The only cafe on our list to be on the iconic Campbell Parade and it sits on high at the top end of North Bondi. The Depot serves up local charm and fresh muffins daily.

bRU Coffee - Brighton Blvd

Small but mighty, this spot has just one bench, and that's all it needs. Perfect for a coffee on the go or a quick stop after the beach.

Orchard St Organic Juice and Raw Food Elixir Bar

- Brighton Blvd & Wairoa Ave

So technically this is a juice shop but they also serve a fabulous coffee! Come here if you like your latte with raw chocolates and a few crystals.

And that's our favourites friends! We hope you enjoy them and feel a little more like a local next time you come down to our hood. Tag us or use the hashtag #curlewisbondi to show us your adventures!
